ParkingPerx Investor and Former Business Woman of the Year, Jenny Campbell visited Sunderland on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th February 2020 to launch the ParkingPerx product and introduce how it can kickstart Sunderland high street, to local businesses at the Looking Glass and the City Bistro respectively. Both events were a roaring success with Jenny herself stating that she “could palpably see the interest in this innovation”.

Founder Chris Reed echoed these sentiments stating that:

The response has been really really positive, we’ve had a large number of sign ups so we’re looking around about Autumn to launch it into the consumer realm and the city.

Thursday evening’s sold out launch event was hosted by former Capital Radio presenter, Matt Bailey, who helped quiz Chris and Jenny on the benefits this solution will present to merchants. ParkingPerx will help to reinvigorate Sunderland high street by rewarding shoppers for offline spending with discounted and even free parking through its exciting loyalty scheme.

Attendees at Friday’s professional services lunch event benefited not only from hearing about the advantages of ParkingPerx but they also had the opportunity to hear Jenny Campbell talk about her unique journey to success and her reasons for backing the ParkingPerx solution.

It came as no surprise that both events quickly sold out considering Sunderland’s businesses have consistently cited parking as a barrier to trade. The two events were a product of months of collaborations between ProxiSmart and Sunderland BID in preparing ParkingPerx for the upcoming launch later this Autumn.

ProxiSmart has been supported by Sunderland City Council, The Bridges shopping centre and the Sunderland Business Improvement District (BID), with Sunderland being the first location to trial the groundbreaking parking solution.

Keep an eye on our website and social media in the coming weeks to hear which of Sunderland businesses have joined the revolution…
